Baby in the Span of a Minute

Jack is such a little character. His expressions are too cute and always changing. He was pretty happy today after daycare.

A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood

He loves those fingers!
The weather was very nice this past weekend. On Saturday we decided to take a trip down the road to the neighborhood Josh's mom is building a house in. They have a nice pond inhabited by a large population of ducks. We had some extra bread and thought the ducks might need a bit to eat. The ducks must get fed a lot because they were not at all interested in our bread, but we did capture a bunch of lovely photos of Jack. We even got a good family shots thanks to a friendly passerby-er.

That night we started to notice Jack's eye watering a lot. We thought it might be a clogged tear duct, but by Sunday we were sure it was pink eye. Luckily I was able to take off work Monday and take him to the doctor. She prescribed some medicine. He also got his four month vaccines. The past couple of days have been rough for him. But we are hoping he is back to his happy self tomorrow. We are very excited for Aunt Cindy and Gigi to visit this weekend!

The Baby Monitor...

Tonight's my night! On the weekends I take one night so Cassie can get at least one full night of sleep.

Today we spent the day down in Texas City helping Lovey pack up for the big move, and while she still has a very long way to go, I feel like we got a lot accomplished. Mom called a few hours after we left to make sure we were both in as much pain as she was... And while we're not quite as tired it sure is heck getting older! My knees are hurting and my back is sore from climbing stairs and lifting boxes.

Mom will probably want to kill me for this, but check out her living room... But hey at least the attic is empty!

Egg-cellent Easter

Jack's first Easter was certainly a busy one. It started off with both Mommy and Daddy having Good Friday off. My wonderful husband scheduled a professional cleaning company to come and clean the house! It was so nice to have a clean house for the weekend. We took a trip to the garden center to buy some plants for the front porch. We change out these plants about four times a year because we eventually kill them. We spent Friday night relaxing and making Grammy's famous cranberry salad to have for the weekend.

On Saturday our neighborhood put on an Easter egg hunt at the local park. Josh's family joined us, as well as Aunt Melinda. I am not sure how Jack felt as a whole about the Easter egg hunt, but he seemed to enjoy parts of it. He loved the bunny straw we / he managed to get into his basket. He was not very fond of the Easter Bunny; I really don't blame him- he was pretty creepy looking. We did get some great photos of the festivities. After the egg hunt we all went back to our house to enjoy some good BBQ and goodies. Karen, Christopher, and Alaska Josh joined us.

Loved that bunny straw.

My two favorite guys.

Going to town with the bunny straw...

Lovey made Jack a great Easter basket full of goodies!

On Easter morning Jack and Daddy enjoyed a walk before heading down to Santa Fe to visit Josh's extended family.

There is always a ton of people, a ton of food, and a ton of eggs at Easter. This year did not disappoint. We enjoyed a yummy meal and a fun egg hunt. Jack was pretty worn out on the way home.

Jack and I were lucky to have Monday off as well. We are enjoying the day together.
